Blessing Day

We blessed Evan at church on Sunday, Jan 4th. (happy birthday, Ashley!) My day did it and it was very sweet. She was great and didn't make a peep. Everyone in my family except Andy and Drew (Drew was sick) was there. And although I didn't know it until after, Russell and Jill were there, too. We had the fam over for lunch afterwards. Of course I didn't get any really good pictures. I didn't even think to do it at the church with everyone there and then by the time I got settled enough at home, the boys had already changed clothes. Me and Richard got a picture with her but it wasn't very good so it's not on here.

My dear friend, Angie Martin made her blessing dress and it was beautiful! Thank you so much, Angie. You are so talented! Detail of the front.
The back...look at those sweet little heart buttons!

Evan in her gorgeous dress.

Note: Be sure and look at other posts. I finally got caught up today!

1 month old and Chuck E. Cheese

Evan turned one month on the 2nd of Jan. I've seem other people take pictures like this and I'm going to try and do it. I wasn't so sure about the headband bows before she was born but now that she's here and has no hair for bows, I find myself wanting her to wear them. I ordered a different kind off e-bay this week...I'll let you know what I think.
We went to Chuck E. Cheese one day over Christmas break. Caroline and her kids met us there and then Hudson went home with them to spent the night. These 2 really do have a lot of fun together. Shelby spent the night with us one night during the break but of course I didn't take any pictures. I'm so glad we all live close enough that my kids can know and be close to there cousins!

Our Christmas

Christmas came and went in kind of a blur this year. Maybe it's because we had a baby on December 2nd and I didn't buy the first present until the Thursday before Christmas! I got all the major stuff done though. Christmas cards didn't get done and sent, I didn't bake as much if at all, and we didn't really do any extra activities but that's okay. We enjoyed time with family and it was great! The kids with Richard's parents. We went over there Christmas Eve around 2 and had pizza and presents.
Chandler with one of his favorite presents. It's Hudson's, too but Chan was really excited.

Jill, Evan and Hudson.

The kids...it's so weird not to type "the boys" anymore!

Christmas Eve late afternoon, we went to my parent's. These girls love Chandler (bubba) as they still call him.

Ashley getting some hold time in.

Chandler getting ready to read the Christmas story from the Bible.

All the grand kids with my dad. There are 9 now and I have the 2 oldest and the youngest. Why didn't we make mom get in that picture?

Santa and a scary looking elf came to visit at mom's that night. Evan slept through her whole first visit with santa. Probably not a bad thing! The boys sat on his lap, too but I couldn't get my crop feature to work and there were some images of the elf in the background that I chose not to post. Trust me...you're welcome!

I love the way she's looking at me in this picture!

Evan in her new swing that santa brought her.

So far behind...misc pics

Evan had already changed so much! Looking through these pictures, it makes me so sad that she's already so big. Everybody still says she's tiny but to me she seems huge! As you can see, everyone is so in love with the new addition to our family!

I wanted to post some pictures of the pretty dresses she's worn to church. Jodi Purser let her borrow this one. Gorgeous! I don't think it was very comfortable though :)

This of course is the black dress. It was freezing that day so I put a long sleeve onesie on her but I wanted her to wear it before she outgrows it. I hope she gets to wear it one more time. I can't remember if I mentioned this on here or not but we rec'd the same dress as a gift in a size 6 month...so you will be seeing it again!
